As Ellen Jahnsen tells it - One day in the winter of 57-58, after cheerleading practice, Mrs. Cole shepherded her young charges off to the Newburgh Y (YW I assume) for a swim. Once there, the girls donned the Y issue suits. They were wool Ellen says, very old fashioned and many with holes (moth holes, I'm guessing), which was a cause for much hilarity among the girls. Apparently Ellen had a camera and the photos have survived in good condition all of these 45 or so years.
