I’m sure when George was informed that kissing Miss Warwick, Sharon Meyers, in a mock wedding ceremony was part of his Playground Supervisor duties he was shocked, but as a dedicated employee he agreed to go along. I’m sure too, that in days following, he had a hard time not telling himself that it was the very best thing about that idyllic 1959 summer of his youth. I do love the expression of the young girl on the far right. Unlike the boys who are looking at the camera, she is focused on the kiss, thinking perhaps, “Ok this marriage ceremony is a fake, but why did they have to kiss?” Something like that.
