George McGinnis, is shown with Virginia (Parks) Nelson, at the class of 1950 reunion in May, 2006. He attended a number of our reunions over the years. George was a legendary figure in Goshen High School and the town of Goshen. He began as an industrial arts (shop) teacher in 1940 and retired in 1977. In subsequent years he continued his association with the school in a number of roles until his passing in 2008 at age 96. Many will remember him as an excellent teacher and recall one of his most memorable characteristics—firing a missile if you stepped out of line. He always missed—on purpose of course— but you got the message!! ... from
