The 1949 Goshen High Cheerleaders were State Champions according to Joe Guarino who submitted this and several other wonderful vintage 1950 photos.
He writes: The Goshen High School cheerleaders won distinction by placing first in 1948 and 1949 and second place in 1950 in state wide competition.
The 1949 champs were from left to right: Joanne Werner, Delores Cipriano, Frannie Phillips, Phyllis Rosenberg, Susie Barnes, Dottie Smith, Virginia Parks, Charlotte Mongo. Ada Andersen, also a cheerleader, is not in the photograph.
