James Stanfield, former Otisville standout was honored with others at a recent induction ceremony for the OCCC Athletic Hall of Fame.

Congratulation to the inaugural induction class of SUNY Orange’s newly created Colt Athletic Hall of Fame.
SUNY Orange inducted its first class into the college's Colt Athletic Hall of Fame during a recent reception at Kuhl's Highland House in the Town of Wallill.
Mike Albright, communications officer, said the recognition was given to the finest athletes and administrators in the school's history.
Honorees present included Chris Schmid, Class of 1954, who participated in soccer, basketball, tennis; James Stanfield, Class of 1959, men's soccer; Glen McGinnis, Class of 1955, men's soccer and basketball; Art Stegen, Class of 1966, men's cross country; and Charles Cawein, Class of 1952, men's basketball and soccer.
Also, Marie A. Piccone, Class of 1963, women's field hockey, basketball and softball, as well as coach and athletic director; and Linda Tjepkema, Class of 1976, women's basketball.
Eddie Diana, Class of 1968, accepted the inductee award on behalf of his late Aunt Mary Diana, coach and instructor. Ed Leonard, a SUNY Orange faculty member, accepted on behalf of wrestler Gary Vantimiglia, Class of 1971, and for the late Chris Chachis, coach and athletic director.
