The story as I got it is as follows: School was canceled for several days in the late fall of 1957, due to the Asian Flu. Apparently some kids were sick either before or after the school closing as one group Ellen, Deanna, Helen, Francis, etc took to the Appalachian Trail, and thoughtfully with a camera.
