The year was 1957 and these dances at the Village Hall were limited to 6 through 9th grade. The age was a bit younger than my crowd but I do recall Village Hall dances for our grade level during some year, but am not sure of our age at the time. I remember that Bill Phieffer was in charge. Bill was also a Sunday school teacher at the Methodist Church along with Mr. Frank Ullery and both deserve much credit for their interest in youth and for having to put up with the likes of our bunch. ... from Dispatch Photo
