It's February 1949 by the inscription on the back of this picture. The girls Chickie Heiblim, Carol Loegler, and another who's name I can't make out (Chickie informed me that it is Janet Paffenroth) are obviously impressed with builder Joe Penaluna's new truck.
Joe must have been the brother of Herbie who I did know of from his days of football glory at WHS.
Was the picture taken in GL or Warwick? Also can anyone make out what names were written on the back by Chickie Heiblim? (.. We've got the answer to that also)

How wonderful to find this picture. I believe the truck may have belonged to my grandfather, Joe Penaluna. He was a carpenter who lived in Sterling Forest, NY. My grandparents had three sons, one of which is named Herbie (my uncle). The telephone number as I remember it was GL7-2726. That would seem to fit with the phone number on the truck.
